Perhaps This Is The Moment!

I've been thinking about Esther a lot lately. She is my favorite biblical character, well besides Jesus. I am thankful I had the opportunity a couple years ago to take part in the Beth Moore study on Esther. What a queen! She was faithful and loyal and she trusted God. She was chosen to save her people.

Thinking about our girl  living with us for almost two years, I've often told her she was Esther. I think I mentioned that in an earlier post. I know she rolls her eyes at me when I say it but someday, someday she'll see. She'll see God chose her to stand up and do something.  No, it hasn't been easy and it hasn't been a walk in the park. There have been many nights of tears and worry and "I can't do this." I'm sure Esther had those thoughts too. Faith and hope make it possible for us to be steadfast.

Perhaps we all have a little Esther in us?  We are all created to do something in this world. Some people's moment might be more obvious than others. I know I don't have any huge oh my this is my moment. But, maybe I was created to be a part of this journey with my family? I'm honored to be here along side her during her moment.

I encourage you to do the Beth Moore Esther study. It's so good!

Some not so fun facts about Esther
1. she was an orphan
2.she was raped
3.she lived in exile
4.she risked execution
5. she was taken captive

As I look at the five points above, I'm thinking, our girl can relate to 3 out of the 5. She was abandoned by her whole family. She was molested and even though she doesn't live in exile, I feel like her heart often lives there.

I believe as time goes on and she pursues happiness knowing she spoke up about child abuse in her home, she will see she was created for that moment. She has the power to change the world! I believe that!
